Park Host(s) and Managers(s) Wanted!
The Park host(s) gives visitors their first impression of HVRV. The host(s) provides hospitality to park guests and promotes safe use of park facilities. The host(s) also gives valuable insights on guest experiences and impressions to park owner/operator through daily contact with park guests.
What are the duties of a HVRV park host?
- Greet guests, check them in, answer their questions and orient them to the park and region. Knowledgeable about middle Provo River, Jordanelle Lake, HVRV, Heber and Park City.
- Understand and be able to explain park rules and regulations to campers. Be accessible to campers for comments and complaints.
- Place and respond to reservation requests for park sites, cabins or yurts. Use and maintain reservations status using the Campground Master soft ware program.
- The host is responsible for the retail operations of the country store and fly shop. The host will handle retail cash register and credit card transactions for retail items and site rental fees. Pricing and recommendations for ordering inventory.
- Assist and direct park maintenance: pick up litter, clean sites, cabins and yurts after guests check out, replenish rest room supplies and assist in keeping the bathrooms clean.
- Contact park staff and/or other law enforcement personnel about park emergencies.
- Set example for others by keeping host site clean and neat.
- Other projects or assignments based on park needs and hosts' skills and interests.
What are the benefits of being a park host?
In exchange for the hours of work per month per site, park hosts have:
- Salary for work hours (in excess of site value ) paid monthly
- RV hook-up with electric, water and sewer
- Satellite TV and WiFi is included.
- Cell phone and cell phone usage
- Storage location (not at hook-up) for boat or extra vehicle.
- Opportunities for relaxing boating, hiking, swimming, wildlife observation and fishing on Provo River.
- Nearby shopping, entertainment and sightseeing Park City and Sundance Utah.
How are park hosts selected?
Park hosts must have their own RV, and are selected based on:
- Camping experience
- Prior campground or park host experience
- Experience working with the public
- Length of time willing to be a park host
- Other skills that match park needs
