The Provo River is a renowned destination for fly fishing for some of the best trout and small mouth bass, and it’s becoming even more well-known for the boating and paddling it offers. With a premier whitewater stream running through it and its convenient location, the Provo River is a place where paddlers can find Class I to IV rapids on pristine waters.
The Provo River is divided by major reservoirs, which by themselves offer our guests a great opportunity for other recreation activities. The Upper Provo starts below Trail Lake and ends at Jordanelle Reservoir. The Middle Provo flows between Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoirs. The Lower Provo begins below Deer Creek Reservoir and ends at Utah Lake on the outskirts of Provo. The Upper Provo is bounded by private land, and is more of a fishing stream than a boating run, but the Middle and Lower Provo are excellent whitewater runs near Utah's two major population centers.
