About the Provo River
The entire Provo River offers some of the best trout fishing in the Western United States. The middle section of the river, between Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoirs, is a protected wetland habitat. You can catch large brown trout regularly in its clear riffles and pools. The Middle Provo River is also an excellent place to learn to fly fish. With good access to willing trout, one is almost guaranteed success.
For larger, challenging fish, the Lower Provo is the place to be. With many trophy browns and rainbows lurking in its waters, this is the river to test your skills on wary trout. Located in the Provo Canyon below massive Mount Timpanogas, on this part of the river you will have an excellent chance to catch the trout of your life.
Our guides will take you to the best spots and with the right flies to have a shot at these great fish.
